The new technical training program, supported by PSJ Cobre Mendocino, strengthens the link between education and productive development, with the goal of generating qualified local employment for the mining sector.
PSJ Cobre Mendocino celebrated the launch of the Mining Logistics Manager training program, a key educational initiative for local development that has the direct support of the company. The training is the result of joint work between the Provincial Directorate of Schools (DGE), the Provincial Mining Directorate, and the ISTEEC 9-013 Institute of Uspallata.
With more than 120 registrants, the program aims to train technicians capable of planning, organizing, and supervising logistics operations in the mining sector, integrating knowledge of sustainability, operational efficiency, and applied technologies. The program was introduced in February and officially began classes this Tuesday.
At the opening ceremony, PSJ’s Socio-Environmental Manager, Matías Berardini, emphasized: “This training is a concrete example of how mining development can be integrated with education and genuine employment. At PSJ we are committed to a mining industry that generates real opportunities for the community, and this is a clear example of that commitment.”
For PSJ, such initiatives are part of its ongoing commitment to territorial development. The company not only supports educational processes but also promotes local hiring, supplier development, and the creation of quality jobs as central pillars of its sustainability policy.
This technical training program is part of the PSJ Cobre Mendocino Community Outreach Plan, which includes training programs in Uspallata and Las Heras, focusing on trades, clean energy, and occupational health and safety.
PSJ continues to demonstrate that mining development can be a driver of shared growth, investing in education, local employment, and the future of Mendoza.
