Registrations are now open to participate in the Hearing, which will take place on Saturday, August 2. It will be broadcast live on YouTube, and free transportation will be coordinated to facilitate attendance for those who wish to participate in person. Additionally, those who prefer may join via Zoom.

The Mining Environmental Authority has opened registration to participate in the Public Hearing for PSJ Cobre Mendocino, which will be held on August 2 starting at 10:00 a.m.

Interested individuals may take part either in person or virtually, and free transportation will be guaranteed for those who want to attend in person. Registration is open until 11:59 p.m. on July 30 through the official form.

“The hearing represents a fundamental step for transparency and dialogue around one of the Province’s strategic sustainable mining projects. Citizens who wish to attend may travel to the venue, and those who prefer to participate from home will be able to do so via Zoom. In addition, the meeting will be broadcast live on YouTube,” clarified the Mining Environmental Authority.

Free transportation to guarantee access to the venue and connectivity

To facilitate access to the designated site for the hearing, the Government of Mendoza, the Municipality of Las Heras, and the Secretariat of Transportation have coordinated the provision of free transportation for those who wish to attend. This measure aims to ensure that no citizen is excluded due to transportation issues.

Connectivity will be guaranteed through the Starlink satellite service, which was already tested during the public hearing for the Don Ernesto project. At the same time, the entire hearing will be broadcast live and free of charge on the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of Energy and Environment, allowing the event to be followed from anywhere in the territory. This tool ensures unrestricted access to the content, deliberations, and presentations, regardless of location.

Shelter areas with heating, sanitary services, and security

To ensure the comfort and full participation of attendees, shelter areas with heating, sanitary services, and screens will be available, allowing participants to follow the hearing in real time from the vicinity of the venue. In addition, security will be present throughout the entire hearing.

Everyone’s voice will be respected, with a pre-established speaking order that will be available prior to the hearing on the websites of the Directorate of Mining and the Directorate of Environmental Management and Oversight.
