The activity took place as part of Geologist’s Day, with the participation of project professionals, and was organized together with the Geological Association of Mendoza.

On Monday, June 9, at the Auditorium of the Professional Council of Engineers and Geologists of Mendoza (COPIG), the talk “Geological Presentation of the San Jorge Mining Project” was held as part of the activities for Geologist’s Day. The event was organized by COPIG in collaboration with the Geological Association of Mendoza and featured the participation of CEO and President Fabián Gregorio, along with geologists from PSJ Cobre Mendocino.

During the presentation, details were shared about the Project located in Uspallata, focusing on its geological characteristics and the work carried out by the technical team. The event was open to the public, with a special invitation extended to professionals and students in geology and mining.

The presentation included a general introduction to the Project, a description of the exploration work conducted since 2006, the environmental and prefeasibility studies supporting its development, and the technical advances incorporated in recent years. International standards applied to the Project, expected economic benefits for the Province, and planned investments were also addressed. A special section was dedicated to water use, detailing the exclusive intake from El Tigre stream with an internal recirculation of 80% of the water used, ensuring efficient and responsible management.

PSJ emphasized the importance of these meeting spaces, which strengthen dialogue between the professional community, the academic sector, and strategic projects for the Province.
