The goal is to bring the Project closer to Mendoza’s productive sectors, consolidating its vision of generating a positive impact on the local economy and contributing to the growth of the provincial industry.
As part of its commitment to productive development and job creation in the province, PSJ Cobre Mendocino held a presentation before the Mendoza Industrial Union (UIM) at the institution’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by prominent representatives of the industrial and business sectors, with the aim of exchanging views on the economic and productive opportunities that the mining project can generate in Mendoza.
During the presentation, the PSJ Cobre Mendocino team provided details on the adaptation of its Environmental Impact Report, carried out in accordance with provincial legislation and the highest international standards in sustainable mining. Key topics included local job creation, the development of Mendoza-based suppliers, community integration, and responsible water use.
The strategic role of copper in the global energy transition was also highlighted, as this mineral is essential for the development of clean technologies such as solar panels, wind turbines, and electric vehicles. In this context, Mendoza has the opportunity to position itself as a key player in the copper industry at both national and international levels.
“We see Mendoza’s business leaders as strategic partners in this process. We want to incorporate local knowledge and experience into the Project’s value chain, ensuring economic growth in the region,” the PSJ team emphasized during the presentation.
The meeting created an open and participatory dialogue with representatives of the industrial sector, who raised concerns and proposals regarding supplier integration, training plans, and opportunities linked to the Project.
PSJ Cobre Mendocino reaffirmed its commitment to continue these joint efforts and invited companies to join the creation of a supplier network for the Project.
