With a focus on integral health, PSJ Cobre Mendocino presents a new Wellbeing Program for the residents of Uspallata. The initiative offers free workshops and courses on anxiety, stress, and conscious breathing, as part of its Sustainability Plan and with a territorial approach to human development.
As part of its commitment to sustainable development and strengthening the social fabric, PSJ Cobre Mendocino announces the launch of its Wellbeing Program, a new line of work within its Sustainability Plan that aims to promote emotional health, holistic wellbeing, and quality of life for the people of Uspallata.
This initiative, pioneering in the region for a mining project, includes training sessions, workshops, and community support activities addressing key issues such as stress management, anxiety, and personal balance. In this first stage, three central courses have already been carried out:
-
Living Without Anxiety: A practical space offering tools to manage anxiety and recover everyday calm.
-
Living Without Stress: A training session focused on recognizing, preventing, and transforming stress in work and personal contexts.
-
Breathing Course – Part 1: A program designed to reconnect with emotional wellbeing through breathing techniques, meditation, and conscious living practices.
“Our vision of sustainability is not limited to the environment or the economy. It also includes wellbeing and emotional support. Because a balanced community is a community with a future,” stated PSJ’s Sustainability team.
The Wellbeing Program is designed to support both Project team members and the residents of Uspallata, fostering human development with a territorial perspective. It is part of a broader strategy that already includes job training, technical education, and support for local entrepreneurs, reinforcing PSJ Cobre Mendocino’s commitment to genuinely inclusive development.
The team added: “We know that Uspallata faces structural challenges in terms of opportunities, health, and services. This program was born from listening to those realities and proposing a sensitive, concrete, and transformative response.”
The Wellbeing Program is open to new proposals and will continue throughout 2025 with activities for young people, seniors, Project workers, local entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
With this step, PSJ Cobre Mendocino reaffirms its conviction: the mining of the future is also mining that cares.
