PSJ Cobre Mendocino successfully held its first participatory workshop, with around 90 people joining the virtual session led by the Project’s Socio-Environmental Manager, Matías Berardini. The meeting took place on Tuesday, February 18 at 8:00 p.m. via Google Meet and was attended by the Director of Mining of Mendoza, Jerónimo Shantal.
During the session, the main pillars of the Project were presented, with special focus on the opportunities PSJ brings to Uspallata and Mendoza. Details were shared on investment, job creation, community training programs, the development of local suppliers, and the Project’s commitment to sustainable mining.
As part of the workshop, questions previously submitted by community members were addressed, covering concerns related to different aspects of the Project and its development in the region.
This meeting is part of a series of activities that PSJ will carry out as part of its commitment to strengthening ties with the community, ensuring transparency, and promoting local participation at every stage of the Project.
