The Banco de la Nación Argentina (BNA) and PSJ Cobre Mendocino signed a Commercial Cooperation Agreement establishing a framework for collaboration aimed at facilitating the financial integration of the mining company, its workforce, and local suppliers.
On Monday, PSJ Cobre Mendocino signed a commercial cooperation agreement with Banco Nación. This agreement sets out a framework for collaboration designed to improve financial access for the mining company, its network of workers, and local suppliers, promoting access to banking products and services under competitive conditions.
The agreement was described as a key institutional step for the Uspallata district, as it consolidates the presence of the country’s main public bank in a strategic area for economic development and the provision of services to businesses, commerce, and individuals.
As part of this agreement, BNA commits to making its human and technical resources available to offer financial products both to the company and to its staff.
This partnership will support the projected economic activity in the district over the coming years, strengthening access to banking services and fostering long-term business relationships.
“This agreement is a major step in strengthening the mining value chain and creating economic opportunities for the local community,” said Fabián Gregorio, CEO of PSJ Cobre Mendocino.
Banco de la Nación Argentina
Banco de la Nación Argentina was founded in 1891 by President Carlos Pellegrini as a means to address the devastating economic crisis affecting the country at that time, particularly the banking system.
Wholly state-owned, within a few years it expanded its operations nationwide and became the largest commercial bank in Argentina.
Since then, it has actively participated in the country’s main economic milestones.
Its priority is to serve Small and Medium Enterprises, as well as to support regional economies and their people, including communities far from large urban centers or of lower economic relevance.

In addition, we will implement technical training and specialized education programs, enabling local residents to access these employment opportunities and helping local suppliers to strengthen their capacities and meet industry standards.
