The presiding panel completed the call of all registered speakers and announced that tomorrow, Monday, August 11, a review session will be held to provide a second opportunity for those who were unable to speak in the virtual format, just as was done in each in-person session.
This Sunday marked the conclusion of the ninth day of the Public Hearing on the PSJ Cobre Mendocino Project in virtual mode, an instance convened by the Government of Mendoza for the project’s environmental evaluation. The presiding panel completed the call of all registered speakers and announced that tomorrow, Monday, August 11, a review session will be held to provide a second opportunity for those who were unable to speak in the virtual format, in the same way it was implemented during the in-person stage.
After nine consecutive sessions —both in-person and virtual— this process continues to ensure that all interested voices have the opportunity to participate. As applied in the in-person stage, the reiteration of the call aims to guarantee that no opinion is left out of this democratic, transparent, and plural space.
The hearing will continue tomorrow starting at 9 a.m., with live transmission via Zoom and YouTube, allowing citizens to follow its progress in real time from anywhere.
The list of speakers, as well as access to project information, can be consulted here.
PSJ Cobre Mendocino reaffirms its commitment to a participatory, transparent process of active listening, where each citizen contribution is considered an essential part of the environmental evaluation.
