This Saturday marked the conclusion of the second day of the virtual stage of the Public Hearing convened by the Government of Mendoza as part of the evaluation process for the PSJ Cobre Mendocino Project, bringing the total to eight days of presentations.
The day unfolded in an atmosphere of respect and plurality, reaffirming the open and democratic nature of this space for citizen participation.
The virtual format expands the reach and accessibility of the Hearing, allowing more citizens to exercise their right to participate regardless of their physical location. In this way, contributions were received from speakers across different parts of the Province and the country, further consolidating this process as a participatory space where each intervention is recorded and considered within the environmental evaluation file.
The virtual stage of the Public Hearing will continue this Sunday starting at 9 a.m. The list of speakers, along with information on the project, can be consulted here.
PSJ Cobre Mendocino reaffirms its commitment to citizen participation, access to information, and transparency, integrating each contribution into a rigorous, participatory, and plural environmental evaluation process.
