On this occasion, over 80 certificates were awarded for training courses on defensive driving in 4×4 vehicles, CPR and first aid, and diamond drilling. Interest continues to grow in strengthening key skills for local development.
This Friday, July 11, certificates were awarded for various training sessions carried out by PSJ Cobre Mendocino for the Uspallata community. More than 80 people attended the event, bringing the total number of certifications issued under PSJ’s training program to over 450.
Cristian Giménez received certificates for the defensive driving and diamond drilling courses and highlighted: “The tools that PSJ provides to train the people of Uspallata, I think it’s something that everyone should keep in mind, come here at least first to learn about it, and then be part of each course and part of this. I believe this is a resource that is not commonly offered.”
Mariana Palacio stated: “I see this possibility of a future in Uspallata; it’s wonderful to see how it is growing through all these training opportunities. We are very excited and happy because Uspallata is receiving a lot of training, a lot of education, and that’s the most important thing and what I most hope for the town.”
“It has truly been a very good experience, we have learned so much in each training, so I also recommend that those who haven’t yet done them come by the office, register, and take them as well,” added Sabrina Soto, a mining logistics student in Uspallata who has taken part in all of PSJ’s training programs.
The training sessions aim to create opportunities for education and local employment, enabling residents to acquire new skills linked to mining and other productive sectors in the region. PSJ will continue to expand its training offerings, promoting local roots, productive diversification, and the development of local suppliers.
