In a clear example of commitment to local training and workforce development, PSJ Cobre Mendocino successfully carried out the free Diamond Drilling course, delivered by the company Conosur.

PSJ Cobre Mendocino successfully carried out the free Diamond Drilling course, delivered by Conosur. The turnout far exceeded initial expectations: in less than three hours, more than 150 people registered, while only 80 slots were available.

Over two intensive days, held on July 3 and 4 at the PSJ Office in Villa de Uspallata, local residents took part in a theoretical and practical training that covered key aspects of modern mining: equipment assembly, drilling, core recovery, operational safety, and the environmental regulations currently in force in Mendoza.

PSJ highlighted that interest in this training exceeded the initial capacity by 370%, demonstrating not only the demand for technical training in the region but also the strong commitment of the local community to seize development opportunities.

“These results make us proud. Uspallata is showing that it wants to be the protagonist of its future. As a project, we will continue to create more training opportunities so that more and more residents can join the mining value chain,” said representatives of PSJ Cobre Mendocino.

Given the overwhelming success of this first experience, the company is considering repeating the training in the coming months and expanding the educational offer with new courses tailored to the community’s needs.
