This initiative aims to bring the community closer to the Project, allowing participants to learn in detail about its current status, planning, and the opportunities it can generate for the region.
As part of our commitment to transparency and dialogue with the community, today we welcomed a group of Uspallata residents who took part in a new session of the PSJ Cobre Mendocino Guided Visit Program. The initiative seeks to connect the community with the Project, providing participants with firsthand information about its current stage, planning, and potential benefits for the region.
During the visit, our team introduced the development of the Project, explained the environmental and technical studies carried out to date, and outlined the next steps in compliance with current regulations. Key aspects of the mining process, resource use, and the role of copper in the global energy transition were presented.
Residents were able to ask questions and hear directly how PSJ Cobre Mendocino can contribute to local development, particularly in terms of employment, supplier engagement, and strengthening the regional economy. They also received information about the Project’s commitment to responsible water use and the planned environmental measures.
These types of meetings reinforce our commitment to responsible, open, and participatory mining, where the community plays a central role. PSJ Cobre Mendocino will continue to promote these spaces for information and dialogue, inviting more residents, educational institutions, and organizations to join future visits.
