In a strategic meeting for the mining development of Mendoza, PSJ presented the progress and benefits of its project to entrepreneurs, suppliers, and sector authorities.
PSJ Cobre Mendocino held the official presentation of its copper production project before the Mendoza Chamber of Mining Services. This key event for the Province’s mining development was attended by the Minister of Energy and Environment, Jimena Latorre; the President of the Chamber, Carlos Ferrer; PSJ President, Fabián Gregorio; the Project’s technical team; and various business leaders and representatives of the mining sector.
During the presentation, the PSJ Cobre Mendocino team outlined the main aspects of the Project, including a general overview, the economic benefits for the Province, progress in environmental and prefeasibility studies, as well as investment plans and operational standards.
In his remarks, Carlos Ferrer, President of the Chamber of Mining Services, highlighted the importance of supporting sector development, stressing that mining growth requires joint effort and noting that “everyone, from their role, must contribute and add value.”
For her part, Minister of Energy and Environment Jimena Latorre underscored the importance of coordination among stakeholders and emphasized that the progress of projects such as PSJ responds to demands from the productive sector. She stated that “mining suppliers were expecting project development because this represents major economic opportunities for all.”
The Minister affirmed that “Mendoza can become the first copper-producing province in the country with PSJ.” She explained that PSJ, being a small to medium-scale project, has favorable conditions to reach production and that, as Mendoza residents, “we have the opportunity to lead once again, now in a sector that has been postponed for so long.”
Finally, Latorre celebrated these dialogue initiatives and invited participants to work within the Chamber on training, technological development, financing, and the overall strengthening of the productive sector. Externally, she encouraged coordinated efforts to share information, foster dialogue, and maintain openness to listening. “We need patience, wisdom, and temperance to hold dialogue with the community and to communicate the benefits of such a noble and positive activity for the Province’s development,” concluded the Minister.
For his part, PSJ President Fabián Gregorio emphasized the fundamental role of mining suppliers and invited them to become actively involved and work together. He also reaffirmed PSJ’s commitment to sustainable and modern mining in the Province.
A project aligned with Mendoza’s development
